CITIZEN CHARTER

Section 14 of the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 13 provides that all offices that will conduct public ceremonies requiring the attendance of the Wālī of Bangsamoro  shall give prior notice to the office.

What is Wālī of Bangsamoro?

The Wālī is an elective position within the government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and is considered the ceremonial head of the region. The holder of the position has the legal right to perform the following ceremonial functions:

  • Opening the session of the Parliament.
  • Administering the oath of office of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Ministers, Speaker of the Parliament, Members of the Parliament, and the Cabinet Ministers.
  • Dissolving the Parliament upon the advice of the Chief Minister after a vote of No Confidence against the government of the day.
  • Calling for election for a new parliament,
  • Attending Public Ceremonies;
  • Welcoming Foreign and local dignitaries.
